History
Mission

RPS Advisors was founded as the need grew for new market entrants into the woman-owned power marketing space, starting in 2011 with the GO 156 legislation expansion in California. This was the catalyst that launched RPS as a Diverse Business Supplier (DBE) certified power marketer. But it's our combined 50 years experience that really provides the backdrop for our ability to serve the WECC and ERCOT markets.

 

RPS prides itself on its relationships with multiple counterparties including marketers, utilities, municipalities, industrial customers and merchant developers that provide access to liquidity, knowledge, markets, buyers and sellers for RPS Advisors and our clients. Our extensive market knowledge and experience gives us a unique perspective that we draw on to provide insights and solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

At RPS Advisors, we believe that energy drives the future of virtually every industry in the world. The U.S. energy markets change constantly, whether as a result of incorporating more renewables, increasing the supply of natural gas from fracking, developing greater environmental controls, or expanding competition. These transformations require a balanced approach to incorporating their inherent benefits and accounting for their difficulties.

We understand that challenging situations require creative solutions and enjoy finding opportunities in diverse generation sources and complex loads. Diverse energy markets create opportunities, and RPS Advisors is dedicated to finding them for our clients.

Giving Back

RPS will give 5%, at a minimum, of its net profits to those charitable organizations that support women, industry and related causes.
