Kristin Janicek - Power & Renewables
As the President and Founder of RPS, Ms. Janicek's experience is focused on the power marketing, origination, and structured transaction opportunities in the wholesale power business. Ms. Janicek has been involved for over 20 years in the utility, wholesale power and renewables businesses. Ms. Janicek prides herself on her creative approach to power transactions, and seeking out opportunities in even the most difficult situations. Ms. Janicek earned a BS from Colorado State and has taken several Masters level classes from the University of Colorado at Denver. Previous employment includes, Noble Environmental Power, Xcel Energy and Williams Energy Marketing & Trading. Ms. Janicek is an avid skier, loves the outdoors and spending time with her family.
Tamara Walden - Natural Gas
Tamara Walden, Founder & President of Walden Energy, LLC and Executive Advisor to Yaka Energy, LLC. has been a long time trusted colleague of RPS. Tamara founded Walden Energy as WBE in 2003 after a 24 year career in the energy business working for major energy corporations. Walden has been successfully navigating the gas marketplace for over ten years with contracts and enabling agreements throughout the US. Walden Energy provides the perfect compliment with its natural gas marketing expertise to RPS power marketing efforts. RPS and Walden strategically seek out opportunities where there is a WBE focus for both gas and power transactions. Ms. Walden attended Oklahoma State University, majoring in Business Administration. Ms. Walden enjoys lake activities with her family.

Kyle B. Smith - Founder and President, Kyle Smith Consulting, LLC
Kyle Smith began his career as a Petroleum Engineer in 1982 working with Bass Enterprises, Resources Investment Corporation and ARCO Oil and Gas. During his tenure as a drilling, production and reservoir engineer with these companies, he developed numerous successful oil and gas fields. He also participated in the purchase team for the large acquisition of TXO and was designated ARCO Oil and Gas’s lead technical witness at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. In 1992, Kyle joined the ARCO Oil and Gas Marketing group and began his career in trading. During his trading tenure at ARCO, he traded extensively all grades and financial products of crude, gasoline and heating oil around the world with a primary focus on NYMEX trading. Kyle was recognized as the top-trading performer within the company six of the seven years at ARCO Oil and Gas. In 1999, Kyle returned to Denver and joined New Century Energies as the Risk Manager to trade proprietarily and hedge on behalf of Public Service Company of Colorado. Within one year, he was named Trading Manager and was later promoted to Director, Energy Trading for Xcel Energy, which has the combined assets of Public Service Company of Colorado, Southwestern Public Service, and Northern States Power. Kyle continued to manage a team of forward and real-time traders that consistently generated tremendous returns with limited risk constraints. In November of 2006, Kyle began a new Trading desk in Denver for Integrys Energy Services, Inc. As Director of Trading for Integrys, Kyle’s team had continued success trading MISO, Western Power, Environmental Products, FTR’s, Virtuals and physical products at all United States power pools. In 2010, Kyle moved the trading team to Enserco Energy Inc. and continued phenomenal trading success in the West and Eastern power and environmental product markets. Kyle also continues to trade physical and financial over-the-counter products in both the East and West hubs in the United States. In 2012, he began Kyle Smith Consulting, LLC, where he consults, performs contract origination and structured transactions. Kyle graduated from Colorado School of Mines in 1982 with a degree in Petroleum Engineering and a minor in Economics
